Donating to Cars for Homes

Alaskans wishing to donate a vehicle to the Cars for Homes Program should access this program at www.carsforhomes.org. Complete all of the required information, print and sign the form, and mail that form to the CarsForHomes address given. DO NOT SIGN OR SEND IN YOUR TITLE AT THIS TIME . Call Habitat for Humanity - Anchorage's Development Director at 272-0800 and give us your name and the transaction number from the printed form you submitted. WE WILL CALL the Cars For Homes Program and see if they have found an Alaskan outlet (and there are only two) for your vehicle. If and only if WE TELL YOU that the Cars for Homes Program accepts your vehicle should you sign and submit the title to your vehicle so that they will be able to make an appointment to pick up your vehicle donation.

The Cars for Homes Program anticipates making changes to their website for donors from Alaska, but until this change has been made, please follow the procedure above so you keep possession of the title until your vehicle has DEFINITELY BEEN ACCEPTED by this program.
